About
Friends of Christ Church School
FOCCS stands for Friends of Christ Church School. All parents, teachers, governors, and staff are automatically members. In some other schools, bodies like FOCCS are known as the ‘PTA’.
The aim of FOCCS is to support the school’s ambitions for the education of children at Christ Church in various ways. Many of the activities are directed towards fundraising as well as social events. In addition, we work closely with the Head and Governors.
Through the hard work and support of many parents and carers, we have contributed substantial amounts to the school since we were formed. This has supported both large and small projects like equipping the school library with books, purchasing computers and interactive whiteboards, helping to finance the school’s wonderful vegetable garden, paying for visitors to the school, and funding free clubs for children (to name but a few).
Values
FOCCS operates to support both the school and its cores values.
The aim at Christ Church is to provide a stimulating, creative learning environment where children feel safe and well-supported in all aspects of their learning.
Their ‘learning hand’ is a constant reminder of that; it features values the school and FOCCS live and work by. These include:

Who's who
As parents and carers, you are all members of FOCCS. Because of this, you’re very welcome to attend our committee meetings and we rely on the voluntary support of parents, carers and teachers, in terms of time and ideas, to help make FOCCS events and fundraising activities happen!
Behind the scenes, a team of dedicated volunteers then also work together to keep FOCCS running and raising funds:

Class Contacts
As well as our committee members, we have a network of class contacts. These are volunteers who represent each class in the school.
They liaise between parents/carers and the class teacher about FOCCS events and are actively involved in planning and supporting major events and activities at school.
Your class contact can be reached via Classlist.
